911 Kit List

3.       KY-Jelly or Vaseline

It is important for you to know how to take the temperature of your rabbit. You should also know the signs of a Bunny 911 and or GI Stasis.

You can have your Exotic Rabbit DVM or Rabbit Rescue Group teach you.

We like to store all of these items in a small case. You can find a case at your local Thrift Store. It is important to have a written copy of the contact information for you 911 Vet. You want to keep things simple you might not have web connection on your computer or smart phone. We also like to have 2 flex tip thermometers. One is a new one in the package. You never know when the battery might not work.

It will also be a good idea the carrier located near your rabbit. You don’t want to spend valuable time looking for their carrier.  If you have two rabbits you can always take use the known healthy rabbit as a reference for taking the temperature. You can verify that you took the temperature correctly with the healthy rabbit.

If you have a bonded pair you should if possible take both of them. You should in that case bring two carriers. The sick bunny may need to stay overnight at Vet’s Office.

2.      What were the signs?

3.      Were their any changes in diet, housing, environment and other things.

4.      What is the age of your rabbit?

5.      What do you feed your rabbit?
